An Attempt to Capture Pure Emotion in One Second
An Attempt to Capture Pure Emotion in One Second, is a work loosely based on the early cinematographic experiments of Eadweard Muybridge when he attempted to prove that while galloping there was a fraction of a second when all four a horse’s hooves were of the ground. The work consists of three zoetropes, each containing 24 frames and rotate thanks to a set of cooling fans placed at the bottom of the installation. The frames with in the zoetropes display different emotions, one angry, one happy and one neutral.
The work was exhibited at CONSTANT COMPANION – RIETVELD IN THE OUDE KERK, April 2014.
