Subjective Mapping is an ongoing project, which consists of a series of landscapes drawn across architectural paper using blue watercolour paint. The drawings trace the line of the horizon line where the sky meets the earth from left to right, the title of each drawing is a record of the location in which they were created and the date on which they were drawn.
Though at first they may seem abstract, one soon begins to recognise the silhouette of the landscapes against the blue sky. The title 'Subjective Mapping' is a reference to the regimented and structural appearance of the work, similar to that of real geographical maps, in contrast to the loose and gestural quality of each drawing.
This work has never been exhibited.
